Aren’t these macaroons almost to die for?! Again, this is another great shot by @swamibu… still trying to find out where they come from, in hope Faro and I can try them in real life sometime.

A macaroon is a sweet confectionery whose name is derived from an Italian word “maccarone” which is in turn derived from ammaccare, meaning crush or beat. It is used here in reference to the almond paste which is the principal ingredient. Meringue-based, they are made from a mixture of egg whites, almond flour, and both granulated and confectionery sugar.”
